...I think I'll stop and enjoy one of the better views in the area. If the day is sunny and relatively still, you'll see some wildlife flying, swimming, fishing, and perched in the area around here. This one is about 3" up, tethered.
I used to catch flounder and trout off the oyster bar to the north of this bridge. So much of this road was badly damaged after the last hurricanes that 3 bridges had to be replaced and this road bed rebuilt and reinforced.
Thankfully the hurricanes didn't totally destroy the natural areas. However, it's highly recommended that you not attempt finding this one in a hurricane! You might find the cache and yourself floating out into the Gulf!
Please park completely off the road, and be VERY careful as you explore the area. There's ot much in the way of medical care out this way.
