The path to Hammonds Beach is a lovely walk! Under a canopy of tropical flowers, you follow a sandy path feeling like you're in Hawaii! Once you reach the beach you'll arrive at the McClintock Memorial bench carved out of a pale tree trunk where you can sit, have a snack and take in the gorgous views. The beach is a strip of sand with no cliffs and you can follow it in either direction. Lining the beach are luxury homes built in English country cottage style. The ambience at Hammonds Beach is unique and it makes for a pleasant short outing. To lengthen your outing, spend some time at neighboring beach, Miramar Beach. For something to eat, head north on San Ysidro Rd to Upper Montecito Village and grab a sandwich at one of it's great eating spots. You just might bump into someone famous. Manning Park is a gorgeous park in Montecito, just off San Ysidro Rd, with lush pine trees, sumptuous lawns, and a toddler playground.
