Please Read. If you are a new cacher, this cache may not be for you. Every time a newish cacher posts a DNF when the cache is actually there the reviewer threatens to archive the cache. This is a very special cache and I'd like to keep it active but I can't be hiking out here every two weeks due to an inexperienced cacher - especially in the summer as this is a heavy snake area and the heat. This cache is dedicated to Cornelius “Al” Schoon, who passed away on December 27th, 2020.
Al AKA the Duckmeister AKA cschooner was much loved by the geocaching community. He always had a friendly word and smile. He was also known as AZKokopeli, AZ volunteer geocache reviewer.
Al will be sorely missed. The geocaching community has lost one of its finest. And I lost a fellow Hoosier. I did not know until recently that Al grew up within 10 miles of where I grew up in Gary, Indiana and his high school, Merrillville High, was a rival school to my Lew Wallace High School (Go Hornets!).
