I was out running and noticed what appeared to be a bat house in Coyote Point. I did a little sleuthing and someone told me the bat house was a BSA Eagle Scout project. I can't confirm that yet, but I do know that bat houses have been created as part of other Eagle Badge projects. Since I was a Geocaching Merit Badge Counselor for my son's BSA troop, I thought a geocache would be nice here.
I placed the cache on during my afternoon run. My faithful dog Raider helped (well, he panted and drooled). It isn't on the actual bat house pole, but you can see the bat home a few feet away. The cache and bat abode is right off the Bay Trail. Enjoy!
