Popeye's Cove Traditional Cache

                                                               

I was out for a run on the SF Bay Trail and was passing around the cove at Coyote Point.  The trail around the cove connects Fisherman's Park, along the new bike path viewing platforms, Coyote Point cove, the local animal shelter, and goes into Coyote Point and its marina (ultimately a golf course too).

So I thought it would be nice to place a cache at the cove.  Now, you see the beautiful imagery of the cove on this cache page?  Well if you are seeing that in real life while searching for this cache then, well, you have gone waaaaaaayyyyyyy off course.   That cove is in Malta and it is the site of the Popeye movie starring former local resident Robin Williams.

But the cove is nice for tossing a ball for a dog to chase, you can wade in the cove, go wind surfing, etc.    Oh, you can also look for this cache.

The cache is a little larger than small, but not huge.  I started it with some cheap trinkets and change from my car (I will try to beef up the prizes).  No pen in the cache though (yet) so bring your own writing instrument.
