This is easily one of my favorite places in Minnesota. I recently visited and found all the geocaches in the area, but was curious if I could place my own in such a unique attraction like this. To my surprise, there was a very small (only about 45ft x 120ft) space that met the 528 feet of space requirement with all the established caches in the park. As such, this cache is within that tiny area. Permission to place this cache was granted by Franconia's Executive Director. The cache container is a waterproof lock-and-lock container large peanut butter jar.
The structure GZ brings you to is Franconia's amphitheater. Private parties are able to rent this space for performances, weddings, etc. Please do not search for this cache if the amphitheater is in use!
The park is open from 8 AM to 8 PM, 365 days a year. There is no cost for admission.
