Geocache Description:

There are several steam baths called stone baths on Suo-Oshima. The Kuka stone bath here is said to be the oldest stone bath in western Japan, and was used as a hot spring resort for neighboring people until the first year of the Showa era. The method of bathing was to first heat the stones by burning a fire inside, spread wet seaweed in a steam bath, and then use a muscillo that has been sprinkled with water to prevent burns. It seems that 17 people could enter this Kuka stone bath at the same time.
