Geocache Description:

09 April 2021, 09:00 - 11:00

This CITO event will involve the removal of litter along the perimeter of Donovan Park.

We will abide by all local & state guidelines regarding COVID-19. Please social distance whenever possible and wear a mask when distancing isn't feasible.

Donovan Park used to be a golf course, managed by the Peoria Parks District. Several years ago the golf course was closed and this location was re-purposed as an excellent city park. The park is at the center of a vibrant part of town with excellent shops and restaurants nearby. Keller Station, located along the northeast edge of the park, is being developed with/for additional businesses.

The purpose of our CITO event will be to remove litter along the following roads, which make up parts of the perimeter of Donovan Park:

  • North Sheridan, along the west edge
  • West Northmoor, along the north edge
  • North Knoxville, along the east edge

Please meet in the southeast corner of the Donovan Park parking lot at 9AM. If you arrive late, please look for a group along one of the roads listed above. If you have tools you'd like to use (grabber tools, work/gardening gloves, etc.), please bring them along. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to post on the cache page or send me a message!
