I have been considering placing a geocache in my local cemetery for quite some time ..... I would often pass it when I had a Nannying job up that way 13 years ago .
It was first opened in 1898 and administered by a board of trustees ; but is now run by the Auckland Council .
PLEASE be very respectful as you visit here . Remember people will often be sitting here remembering lost family members...
You may have to pop away and get some other nearby caches and return !
This is a most interesting place to walk around ...... I learn more each time I come here . I even found my old Yoga Teacher's Grave ...and those of many other well known local identities . Please take the time to look around ....not designed to be a quick Grab....
For your comfort there is even a toilet !
Talking about comfort... the cache is hidden somewhere you can sit and sign .

Many of the plots have their own seats! And it is still well used to this day
It has a very nice feeling about it .
