EST: Asud kunagisel Kihnu Kalurikolhoos “Nõukogude Partisan” territooriumil.

Sul on võimalus tunda kerget hõngu tollest ajast vaadates endist kaalumaja.

ENG:  You are located in the territory of the former Kihnu Fisherman's Collective Farm named "Soviet Partisan". Founding meeting was 4th of March, where 17 members of the collective farm (out of the total 500 members) participated… Despite of that, its name and statute were approved.

According to statistics, only two of all Kihnu households did not participated in the collective farming, main direction of which was fishing. Collective farm with was liquidated in 1973 by coming under the control of Pärnu Kaluri. In retrospect, the best time for the people of Kihnu was that "Soviet Partisan" time, when they had their own trawlers and opportunity to earn extra money with overfishing. When subordinated to Pärnu Kaluri, trawlers were removed and catch quotas were now shared. According to the literature, many young people left Kihnu and alcoholism raised.

You will be able to feel the light scent of that time by seeing the former weighbridge. Who knows how many fish have passed through here…
