CRGT - Burg Riegersburg
Alter Ruhm.
Die Riegersburg scheint urkundlich erstmals 1138 auf. Der beindruckende Basaltfelsen auf dem die Burg errichtet wurde, war allerdings schon vor 6000 Jahren besiedelt. Mit ihren umfangreichen Befestigungsanlagen galt die größte Barockburg des Landes zu Recht als stärkste Festung des Abendlandes und konnte niemals erobert werden. Auch als die Veste zwischen 1469 und 1490 durch Pest und Hungersnot geschwächt war, hielt sie allen Angriffen der Türken und Ungarn stand.
Elisabeth Katharina Freifrau von Galler (* um 1607; † 1672) erbte die Riegersburg 1648. Sie ging als schillerndste Besitzerin in die Geschichte ein. Die "schlimme Liesel" war drei Mal verheiratet (von ihrem dritten Mann ließ sie sich scheiden!) und lebte mit zahlreichen weltlichen und geistlichen Nachbarn im Streit.
1822 gelang die Riegersburg in den Besitz des Fürstenhauses Liechtenstein, das die 1945 zerstörte Burg vor dem Verfall rettete.
In neuem Glanz.
In den letzten Jahren wurde die Anlage aufwendig renoviert und ein Schrägaufzug installiert. Sie zählt heute zu den bekanntesten Touristenattraktionen der Steiermark. Ihre wechselnden Ausstellungen zu den Themen "Hexenverfolgung", "Waffen" und "Leben auf der Burg" sind immer wieder einen Aufstieg wert. Auch für Verpflegung ist in der neuen Burgtaverne bestens gesorgt. Ein besonderes Erlebnis bieten auch Greifvogelwarte, Klettersteig und regelmäßig veranstaltete Ritterfeste.

Variante A:
Diese Variante führt in das Burgareal der Riegersburg, welches nur während der Saison von Anfang März bis Ende Oktober zugänglich ist. Für den Zutritt wird ein Knappenticket (siehe Homepage) benötigt.
Stage 1
Benutze den Burgrundweg oder den Burglift um auf die Riegersburg zu gelangen. Oben angekommen mach dich auf die Suche nach der Burgtaverne. Die Brücke dort über den Burggraben wurde vor einiger Zeit renoviert. Finde die Jahreszahl der Renovierung und bilde die Quersumme der Jahreszahl. Das Ergebnis [??] entspricht [DC].
Stage 2
Im Gastgarten der Burgtaverne steht ein mächtiger Baum. Dieser trägt ein Musikinstrument im Namen. Finde das Schild beim Baum und notiere dir, wie lange die Schoten werden können. Bilde wieder die Quersumme. Das Ergebnis entspricht (B)
Stage 3
Der Weg von der Burgtaverne in Richtung Greifvogelwarte führt durch das sogenannte Pyramidentor. Wie viele Spitzen mit Kugeln befinden sich oben auf diesem Tor. Das Ergebnis entspricht [A].
Final
Mit diesen vier Zahlen [ABCD] kannst du nun das Logbuch-Zahlenschloss bei den Koordinaten N 47 00.394, E 15 55.984 öffnen.
Variante B:
Diese Variante kann das gesamte Jahr über gewählt werden. Die Rätsel befinden sich rund um die Riegersburg und nicht im Burgareal.
Stage 1
Starte beim Eingang des Besucherzentrums. Vor der Schiebetür befindet sich eine Tafel mit einem Familienfoto der Familie Liechtenstein. Wie viele Familienmitglieder sind zu sehen. Diese Zahl entspricht [Y].
Stage 2
Begib dich zu den Koordinaten N 47 00.474, E 15 55.975. Auf dem Boden findest du eine Bodenmarkierung mit dem Burggespenst Rüdiger. Spaziere den Hexenweg entlang bis zu den Koordinaten N 47 00.205, E 15 55.835 und zähle alle Rüdiger am Boden. Wie viele hast du gefunden? Diese Zahl entspricht [Z]. Und wie viele Rüdiger-Füße und Rüdiger-Hände ergibt das insgesamt. Diese Zahl entspricht [X].
Stage 3
Finde die versperrte Box bei den Koordinaten N 47 00.306, E 15 55.850 und öffne sie mit den gefundenen Zahlen [XYZ]. Merke dir die zwei Ziffern in der Box und die Koordinaten. Die rote Ziffer entspricht der ersten Stelle beim Logbuch-Zahlenschloss.
Stage 4
Die soeben entdeckten Koordinaten führen zur nächsten Box. Verwende zum Öffnen erneut den Code [XYZ] – diesmal in anderer Reihenfolge! Errate die neue Reihung und merke dir wieder die zwei Ziffern in der Box. Die blaue Ziffer entspricht der zweiten Stelle beim Logbuch-Zahlenschloss.
Final
Gehe zurück zu den Koordinaten N 47 00.394, E 15 55.984 und öffne das vierstellige Zahlenschloss (Hint). Verwende dazu die gefunden Ziffern von Stage 3 und Stage 4 (Zur Erinnerung: rote Ziffer von Stage 3 = 1. Stelle, blaue Ziffer von Stage 4 = 2. Stelle).

CRGT - Riegersburg Castle
Old fame.
Riegersburg Crag first appeared in the written record in 1138. The impressive basalt crag on which the castle was built was populated already 6000 years ago. With its extensive fortifications, this largest Baroque castle in Styria, was rightly known as the strongest fortress in the Occident. It was never taken. Even though the fortress was weakened by plague and famine between 1469 and 1490, it withstood all attacks by the Turks and Hungarians.
Elisabeth Katharina Baroness of Galler (* ca. 1607, † 1672) inherited Riegesburg Castle in 1648. She went down in history as the most dazzling owner. Known as "Bad Liesel", she married three times (she divorced her third husband!) and engaged in numerous, long-lasting feuds with both secular and ecclesiastical opponets.
Since 1822, Riegersburg Castle has been owned by the Princely House of Liechtenstein, which saved it from ruin after it was severely damaged in 1945.
New splendour.
Recently, the castle has been extensively renovated and an inclined elevator has been installed to ease accessibility. Today it is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Styria. The changing exhibitions on witch-hunts, weaponry and castle life are always worth the climb. The new Castle Tavern provides culinary treats. A falconry show, a climbing path and regularly organized medieval festivals offer even more unique experiences.

You have two options:
Option A:
This option leads to the castle area of the Riegersburg, which is only accessible during the season, from the beginning of March to the end of October. A miner's ticket (see the homepage) is required for the access.
Stage 1
Take the Burgrundweg (Burgrund path) or the Burglift to get to the Riegersburg. When you get to the top, look for the castle tavern. The bridge over the moat there was renovated some time ago. Find the year of the renovation and calculate a sum of the digits of the year. The result [??] corresponds to [DC].
Stage 2
There is a mighty tree in the garden for guests of the castle tavern. It has a musical instrument in its name. Find the plate by the tree and write down how long husks ??? could be. Again calculate a sum of the digits. The result corresponds to (B)
Stage 3
The path from the castle tavern towards the observatory of birds of prey leads through the so-called pyramid gate. How many ball point finials are there in this gate? The result corresponds to [A].
Final
You can now use these four numbers [ABCD] to open the logbook combination lock at the coordinates N 47 00.394, E 15 55.984.
Option B:
You can choose this option throughout the year. The puzzles are located all around Riegersburg and not in the castle area.
Stage 1
Start at the entrance to the visitor centre. In front of the sliding door there is a board with a family photo of the Liechtenstein family. How many family members can be seen? This number corresponds to [Y].
Stage 2
Go to the coordinates N 47 00.474, E 15 55.975. On the floor you will find a floor marking with the castle ghost Rüdiger. Walk along Hexenweg to the coordinates N 47 00.205, E 15 55.835 and count all the images of Rüdiger on the ground. How many have you found? This number corresponds to [Z]. And how many Rüdiger’s feet and hands are there? This number corresponds to [X].
Stage 3
Find the locked box at coordinates N 47 00.306, E 15 55.850 and open it with the numbers you have found [XYZ]. Write down the two digits in the box and the coordinates. The red number corresponds to the first position in the logbook combination lock.
Stage 4
The coordinates you have just discovered will lead you to the next box. Again use the code [XYZ] to open it - this time in a different order! Guess a new order and again write down the two digits in the box. The blue number corresponds to the second digit in the logbook combination lock.
Final
Go back to the coordinates N 47 00.394, E 15 55.984 and open the four-digit combination lock. There, use the digits found at the stages 3 and 4 (the red number of stage 3 = the 1st position, the blue number of stage 4 = 2nd position).

CRGT - Grad Riegersburg
Stara slava.
Riegersburg je v listinah prvič omenjen leta 1138. Mogočna bazaltna skala, na kateri je bil zgrajen grad, je bila poseljena že pred 6000 leti. S svojimi obsežnimi utrdbenimi objekti je največji baročni grad dežele upravičeno veljal za najmočnejšo trdnjavo na zahodu, ki ga ni bilo mogoče nikoli osvojiti. Tudi takrat, ko je bila trdnjava med leti 1469 in 1490 zaradi kuge in lakote oslabljena, se je uspešno uprla vsem napadom Madžarov in Turkov.
Elisabeth Katharina Freifrau von Galler (*okrog 1607; † 1672) je leta 1648 podedovala grad Riegersburg. V zgodovino se je zapisala kot zagonetna lastnica. "Slaba Liesel", kot so jo pogosto imenovali, je bila trikrat poročena (od svojega tretjega moža se je ločila) in je bila sprta s številnimi posvetnimi in cerkvenimi sosedi.
V letu 1822 je prešel grad Riegersburg v last knežje hiše Liechtenstein, ki je leta 1945 uničeni grad rešila pred propadom.

V zadnjih letih je bil grad na veliko renoviran in nameščeno je bilo stekleno poševno dvigalo. Danes je grad med najbolj znanimi turističnimi atrakcijami avstrijske Štajerske. Njegove razstave o zasledovanju čarovnic, orožju in življenju na gradu so vredne vzpona. V novi grajski taverni je poskrbljeno za kulinarične užitke. Prav posebno doživetje pa ponujajo sokolarjenje, plezalna pot in redno organizirani viteški festivali.

Na vrtu grajske restavracije (taverne) se nahaja mogočno drevo. V svojem nemškem imenu nosi glasbeni instrument. Poišči ploščico ob drevesu in zapiši morebitno dolžino debla ???. Ponovno seštej števke. Rezultat ustreza (B)

Pot od grajske taverne proti observatoriju ptic ujed vodi skozi tako imenovana piramidna vhodna vrata. Koliko koničastih vrhov s kroglicami se nahaja v teh vratih? Rezultat ustreza [A].
