CRGT - Pfeilburg Fürstenfeld
Festungsmauer.
Die Pfeilburg ist der einzige erhaltene Teil der mittelalterlichen Ringmauer Fürstenfelds. Sie wurde im 13. Jahrhundert zur zusätzlichen Sicherung der Stadt errichtet. Als Verstärkung dieser Mauer dienten Türme, die vereinzelt im Lauf der Zeit zu Ansitzen ausgebaut wurden. Der gotische Mittelturm dürfte bereits im Jahr 1480, als die ungarischen Truppen Fürstenfeld für 10 Jahre besetzten, eine ausgebrannte Ruine gewesen sein. Der Turm wurde zu Beginn des 16. Jahrhunderts wieder aufgebaut und nun als "Schwarzturm" bezeichnet – entweder weil er ausgebrannt war oder weil man Pulver darin lagerte.
Starker Tobak.
Nach einer wechselvollen Besitzgeschichte kam der Turm Pfeilburg im Jahr 1691 an Johann Christoph Liscutin. Dieser richtete hier die erste Tabakverarbeitung Österreichs ein. Im Jahr 1725 erwarb der Magistrat Fürstenfeld das Freihaus, nutzte es als Schule, Kaserne und Militärspital. Durch die Initiative des Fürstenfelder Museumsvereins wurde die Pfeilburg gerettet und renoviert. Heute wird darin ein Kruzitürken- und Tabakmuseum geführt.
Festungsweg
Der im Jahr 2013 eröffnete Fürstenfelder Festungsweg führt auf einer Länge von 3,5 Kilometern rund um den mit imposanten Wehrmauern eingefassten Stadtkern. Aktuell wurde der in Stationen unterteilte Rundgang nun um drei neue Stationen erweitert.
So wurden die beeindruckenden Bunkeranlagen und Tunnelsysteme in der Mühl-Bastei durch einen eigenen Zugang bequem und sicher begehbar gemacht. Am sogenannten "Grazer Tor", in dem das Rathaus situiert ist, wurde ein Teil der ehemals verschlossenen Kellerräume geöffnet. Festungswegbesuchern gewährt diese Station Einblick in die Dimension der Fundamente der Festungsmauern. Mit der Öffnung eines historischen Seitentraktes im Durchgang der Augustinerkirche wurde nun auch ein Restbestand des ehemaligen Augustinerklosters zugänglich gemacht. Alle drei Stationen wurden unter besonderer Wahrung der historischen Bausubstanz umfassend und mustergültig saniert.
Einige Festungsweg-Stationen verfügen nun auch über medial aufbereitetes, historisches Informationsmaterial.
Verbunden mit dem Festungsweg können Sportliebhaber auch eine Radtour auf der "Ritterorden Radel-Tour" machen. Dabei werden Übersbach und Altenmarkt mit Fürstenfeld verbunden.

Fortress wall.
The so-called "Pfeilburg" is the only preserved part of the city of Fürstenfeld's medieval curtain wall. It was built in the 13th century to provide more security for the town. Towers reinforced the walls, and later some of them were turned into residences. By about 1480, when Hungarian troops had occupied Fürstenfeld for 10 years, the Gothic central tower was already likely a burned out ruin. The tower was rebuilt at the beginning of the 16th century and is now often referred to as the "Black Tower" - either because it was burned out or because gunpowder was stored there.
Strong stuff.
After repeated changes of ownership, in 1691 Pfeilburg Tower came into the possession of Johann Christoph Liscutin. In it he set up Austria's first tobacco processing facility. In 1725, the Fürstenfeld city government acquired the so-called "Freihaus", and used it as a school, barracks and a military hospital. Later, the Fürstenfeld Museum Association undertook measures to save and renovate the "Pfeilburg". Today, it houses the Kruzitürken- and Tobacco Museum.
Fortress path
The "Fürstenfeld Fortress Path" opened in 2013 and follows the town's imposing defensive walls for some 3.5 kilometers around the city center. Currently, the tour is divided into stations, including three new ones that have just been added.
One of the new stations gives comfortable and safe access to the impressive bunker and tunnel systems in the so-called "Mühl-Bastion". At the "Grazer Gate", in which the town hall is located, a part of the formerly closed basement rooms were opened to the public. Visitors to this station are treated to an interesting look at the massive foundations of the fortress walls. With the opening of a historic side wing within the passage of the Augustinian Church, surviving remnants of the former Augustinian monastery are now accessible again. All three stations have been comprehensively rehabilitated in strict adherence to historic preservation standards.
Some fortress stations now also offer media-supported historical information material.
Sports lovers can also make a "Order of knight's Cycle Tour" along a biking trail that connects the fortress path with Übersbach and Altenmarkt.

Trdnjavsko obzidje
Pfeilburg je še edini ohranjeni del srednjeveškega obzidja mesta Fürstenfeld. Zgrajen je bil v 13. stoletju kot dodatna zaščita mesta. Stolpi so služili za utrditev srednjeveškega obzidja, ki pa so bili sčasoma prenovljeni v majhne bivalne prostore. Srednji gotski stolp je bil pogorela razvalina verjetno že leta 1480, ko so madžarske vojaške enote za 10 let zasedle Fürstenfeld. Stolp je bil ponovno zgrajen v začetku 16. stoletja in takratje dobil ime "črni stolp" – bodisi zaradi tega, ker je pogorel bodisi ker so tukaj skladiščili smodnik.
Močan tobak.
Stolp Pfeilburg je po zamenjavi številnih lastnikov leta 1691 prešel v last Johanna Christopha Liscutina. Ta je tukaj uredil prvo predelavo tobaka v Avstriji. V letu 1725 je mestna uprava Fürstenfelda pridobila tako imenovani "Freihaus", ki ga je uporabljala kot šolo, vojašnico in vojaško bolnišnico. Na pobudo Muzejskega društva Fürstenfeld je bil Pfeilburg rešen in renoviran. Danes je v njem Muzej tobaka in "Kruzitürken" muzej.
Utrdbena pot
V letu 2013 je bila odprta "Utrdbena pot Fürstenfeld". Dolga je 3,5 kilometra in se vije okrog mestnega jedra, obdanega z mogočnim obrambnim zidom. Pot je razdeljena na postaje, pred nedavnim pa so jo podaljšali in dodali tri nove postaje.
Tako so postali impresivni bunkerji in sistemi rovov v "Mühl-bastiji", ki so zlahka in varno dostopni skozi lasten vhod. V tako imenovanih "Grazer-vrata", v katerih se nahaja mestna hiša, je bil odprt en del kletnih prostorov, ki so nekoč bili zaprti. Ta postaja omogoča obiskovalcem utrdbene poti vpogled v temelje utrdbenega zidu. Z odprtjem enega od zgodovinskih stranskih traktov na prehodu avguštinske cerkve si je mogoče ogledati tudi ostanek nekdanjega avguštinskega samostana. Vse tri postaje so obsežno prenovili in sanirali ob upoštevanju zgodovinskih gradbenih struktur.
Na nekaterih postajah utrdbene poti je sedaj na voljo tudi zgodovinsko informacijski material.
V povezavi z utrdbeno potjo se lahko ljubitelji športa podajo na kolesarsko turo po "Kolesarski poti viteški red". Mesti Übersbach in Altenmarkt sta povezani z mestom Fürstenfeldom.
Vodenja po utrdbeni poti je mogoče rezervirati v Turističnem društvu Fürstenfeld.
