The COVID virus has changed all of our lives in many ways, this event is a part of what we hope is a temporary change. Last year all of the new caches were in place, date set and the country shut down as did the event, all the new caches were pulled back out. This year is only slightly different in the fact we can have an outdoor event with social distancing and masks if you can. The island has most venues closed still and the event can only be a flash mod event because of this. New caches will be released but much less than we annually have. All of the old caches will have had maintenance done before the event.

Sadly, no more than a quick meet and hand out cord sheets for the new caches. With any luck next year, we can have a full event with our traditional FTF drawings and a pot luck lunch! The good news is the dams are back in operation so much less standing water on the island as we have seen over the past couple of years.

To enter Belle Isle State Park you will need either a Michigan State Park Passport or a day pass. Residents are $17.00 per year, non residence is $34.00 per year and the daily pass is $9.00 per day.
