wadel: This cache is a goner. I got a note from someone that looked for it twice and couldn't find it. I went and took a look and, sure enough, it's gone. It's amazing how much the social trails have changed in the 2.5+ years this one has been here. I think there are LESS trails than when we hid the cache. The area is really overgrown compared to when we hid it.
Thanks to all that found this cache. You earned it! It was not an easy one to find. I wouldn't hide another like this since I now like them to be fairly easy to find.
Now a little social commentary on the new fee system:
1) I was there for a little over an hour (from 11-noon) on a beautiful Satuday (I wanted to get my $2 worth so did some trail running w/ Buster after I looked for the cache. It's a great little trail for that - .75 mile loop with a 160' hill climb each time). There SHOULD have been others there enjoying this great park. Why was I completely alone the whole time? I've been to Klemgard a lot in the last 17 years and never had the place to myself on a day like today.
2) If you pay an entry fee, you assume that trail maintenance is done. There was a large tree across the trail that has obviously been there for quite some time. They only have .75 miles of trail to maintain????
