My kids, Raylah and Dean, concluded that there are not enough geocaches in the Russian River area so they decided to do something about it. This is the second of six that they plan on hiding. You are looking for a clear plastic waterproof Tupperware-style cache. Access to this cache is from the end of Old Cazadero Rd. Where the road ends there is a small turnaround with space for a few cars to park. Walk through the gate and 5 minutes or less to the cache site down the remainder of Old Cazadero Road. If you want to go for a nice hike, the road continues all the way down to Austin Creek and Cazadero.
I'm going to go out on a limb here and claim this is the most beautiful cache location in the Lower Russian River area!
The last time we were here there was some construction just down the road from the trailhead but it was a weekend so no crew actually working. We just parked before the construction and walked the last bit of the road to the trailhead. Hopefully, construction is completed by now but be safe just in case.
