This is a small well-hidden geocache near a nice walkway around the park. Presently contains a logsheet, a pen and an info card. Long Leaf Park (previously known as Hugh MacRae Park) is one of the oldest and best known parks in New Hanover County. The park was donated to the County by businessman Hugh MacRae in 1913. The 98-Acre park is well known for festivals and events. Facilities include lighted tennis courts, playgrounds, ball fields with seasonal concessions, an equestrian ring, a Dog Exercise enclosure, six picnic shelters, picnic tables, grills, splashpad, rest rooms, 1.66 mile paved trail surrounding the park, scenic garden with a gazebo and pond. The name of this geocache was given because it is a great location to give your dogs buggy rides, dog walks, people walks, etc.
