Many of us have been staying home, working from home, and avoiding people when outside of our homes to practice responsible social distancing, but we're going STIR-CRAZY! Let's gather outdoors at Lake Meridian Park for some socially distant socialization now that we can have events again.
For a little bit of extra fun, I invite you to create a geocaching-themed haiku or two and bring it to the event. The main rules with Haiku are that it doesn't rhyme and the number of syllables in each of the 3 lines goes 5-7-5 like this:
1st line 5 syllables
2nd line 7 syllables
3rd line 5 syllables.
Here are a few geocaching-themed Haikus to inspire you:
I'm so happy that A beautiful place
We can have events again Hunting for geocaches
Miss my geo-friends My favorite thing
You silly muggles How did you ever
Must you sit there in your car Create this cool gadget cache?
Right next to the cache? It's brilliant - well done!
Safety Standards: Everyone must wear a mask and stay at least 6 feet apart. Pollen will affect some of us, so sneeze or cough into the crook of your elbow. Elbow or foot bumps are OK if they're consensual. I'll have a log book but you don't have to sign or touch it.
