The Imperial Crown Pet Cemetery will be hosting its annual Spring clean-up day
and the cemetery board members have asked the Geocachers to assist again.
This Event will also add the 2021 Geocaching Spring CITO Souvenir
Some tools will be available on site but are limited,
so encourage bringing tools such as:
rakes, shovels, prybar (for lifting sinking stones), small pruning shears or saws,
or even a wagon/wheel barrel could be handy.
Normal CITO personal gear is suggested: gloves, boots, and weather gear, and so on.
Please remember to follow the COVID recommendations of self-distancing and wearing masks.
TASKS THAT ARE ON THE LIST OF NEEDS THIS VISIT:
1. Reset any crooked stones along the path in the rear of the cemetery and spread new mulch on the path
2. Section 10: Remove about 25% of the two yew bushes having a bench between them (clear overgrowth)
3. Any benches that are Footed on the ground need to have a leveled paver put under the feet to level and avoid sinking.
4. Replace old railroad ties supporting the flower bed with the new ties near the trash container.
5. Plant flowers in the barrel near the front of the building and in the concrete basket at the base of the tree near the path.
6. Remove bricks near the left gate in the rear of the cemetery.
7. Assemble and install Bulletin Board in Ground near the entrance to replace the old one.
8. Lifting and straightening of other stones throughout the cemetery always improve the looks as well.
Note the task of raking leaves and gumballs will be limited this year due to having a service take care of those earlier but it is likely some raking can be done and plenty of small trigs and branches to pick up as well as other general clean up of the grounds.
As usual, I will be on-site starting earlier that day and probably sticking around until mid-afternoon.
So if you can come for 15 minutes or a few hours we will be happy to have you. I know there is at least one other CITO later that day, but would appreciate the help in the morning even for 30 minutes or several hours and you can still make the second one which is only about a 25 minute trip from this one.
