Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
There are a lot of large rocks/boulders. You don't need to climb any of these to reach the geocache, however there are some slippery sloped areas so use caution.
There are two ways to reach the geocache. The easy (shorter) way is from the intersection of Holcomb Creek and Wild Cherry roads (N 34 14.628 W 117 04.756). The more challenging way is from the intersection of Green Valley Lake Road and Crab Flats Road.
Look for a spur trail from the main road, and a big out cropping of rocks. The geocache can be reached by walking around the rocks (no rock scrambling is required). The geocache is in a blue plastic container. We started the cache with two novelty mermaid soaps, toy tops, a compass, two puffs, and a green valley lake magnet.
We were here on vacation, and were impressed by the incredible view from Inspiration Point. The view is of Lake Arrowhead and San Bernardino.
We're enjoying the comments by the people who've found our cache. We feel bad about the guy who fell and got "boo-boos" while looking. As far as whether the site is more difficult for those over 60, 2 of us are over 60 (the Johnson parents) and 2 are in their 30's. (We did take the hint and increased the terrain and difficulty levels by a half step up, to 2.5 each.)
