Dowse Lagoon Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

oz_bean_counter: There are caches I am proud of, and then there are caches. Sadly, this is the latter. I love this location and hopefully, now that it is available, someone will put a clever cache here. But for now, this one has been archived.

Geocache Description:

The traditional owners of the land on which this cache is place are the Turrbul people. They called Sandgate Moora or Warra, meaning "open sheet of water". More recently, this lagoon was named Dowse Lagoon after the first European settler in the Sandgate area, Thomas Dowse.

The cache is at a bird hide overlooking the lagoon. Bring a tall friend!

Congratulations Lozbucket on FTF!
