A Traditional Cache in the heart of The Ferguson Forest Centre

A few weeks back we stumbled upon this clearing while snowshoeing. I knew I wanted to come back and put a cache here, as it seems that it doesn't get too many visitors. I am curious why this clearing is here, and what the man-made artifacts that are found here were used for.
