Feel like a swim while the pool is surrounded by snow? This thermal pool makes it quite possible, and even pleasant. 27Degrees all year round.
Can highly recommend the walk to some of the cave formations in the area, though didn't actually go into any of them, so can't say for sure whether extra entry fee for caves is worth it. There's an entry fee of $3 per vehicle to enter the park, the caves are extra.
It's a steep walk down to the pool.
Can't give altitude my GPS hit the road at 70Km/h after left on car roof, and Altimetre decided to die.
This is a feasible day trip from Canberra and I've done it this way before. But if you want an overnight stay I can highly recommend the free camping area at Jounama Creek (entrance is dirt road directly opposite the Road into Talbingo - approx S 35 33.986 E 148 19.767) and its a beautiful area.)
The first two finders will pick up a genuine Canadian Geocoin (www.geocoins.ca) The rest will pick up new odds and ends typical of caches.
Strong hints will be included below.
