Turn Point (aka Lover's Leap) Traditional Cache
ryanharris: Time to shut this one down. I have lost the use of a boat in the area and the BLM does not approve of geocaches, I guess. Thanks to all that have looked for the cache. Ryan

This cache is located on Stuart Island. You can only get here by boat, kayak, or plane. The walk is about 3 miles each way. Mostly on gravel county road but there are steps in the state park, where you start the hunt. It took me about an hour to return from placing the cache. Views of Vancouver Island and the Canadian Gulf Islands will appear. Terrain is about a 3 once on the island.
The best place to land on the island is the dock at N48'40.530 W123'12.026 or the nearby beach at the end of the bay. Find the county road and follow the signs to the lighthouse. You will not need to turn on you gps until you get to the view. You'll know the place when you see it.
*be careful of the cliff edge... about 250 feet down!*
When you get there, look for orca, porpoise, eagles, deer, and other critters. Don't be surprised if a container ship or oil tanker steams by. Enjoy the view. The road continues down to the lighthouse if want to check it out. Please re-hide the cache well. Happy hunting.
