This spot in North Glenmore Park was begging for a cache.
Wet ponds slow down the water run off during wet weather, which helps settle out some of the sediments and allows some pollutants to be removed or degraded by natural environmental processes. This helps return cleaner water to our rivers, creeks, and streams.
Typically these ponds are designed to have a water depth of three metres, which can rise quickly after storms.
This is an easy family friendly cache, located just off a gravel pathway that is accessible for walkers, bikers, strollers and wheelchairs. This area attracks wildlife including many water birds, muskrats, deer and coyots. Please ensure that all pets are on-leash at all times and do not enter the water.
You are looking for a camouflaged peanut butter jar. It has been well washed, but people with severe allergies may not want to visit this cache. Please ensure the lid is replaced to keep water out. There is room for a small pencil.
