This series of caches is placed within The Meadows section of the Burlish Top Nature Reserve.
Please be aware that a small herd of cows may be present (not always) in the areas, whose grazing forms part of the natural management of The Meadows.
The caches have been placed with the kind permission of the Wyre Forest District Council - Nature Reserve Rangers, Paul Allen [Countryside Manager] and Adam Hamilton [Biodiversity Officer], to whom we are grateful and offer our thanks for their help and encouragement.
They do kindly ask that you use the well-trodden paths that criss cross The Meadows, as the longer tufted areas of grasslands are feeding and nesting areas for especially for Skylarks.
There is an expanding wealth of wild life to be found in The Meadows (and The Reserve as a whole), but it will be down to the weather, the season and of course a bit of luck, as to what you actually get to see 'on the day'.
It could include Butterflies (various), Insects (various), Newts, Buzzards, Carrion Crows, Kestrels, Sand Martins, Green Woodpeckers, many other birds, many wild flowers and if you're very lucky, Muntjac........ the list goes on and is getting longer.
Please bring your own pencil and tweezers.
