都道府県魅力度ランキング2020最下位の栃木県ですが、ジオキャッシングではとても魅力的な県です。旧栃木県と宇都宮県が合併し栃木県が誕生した6月15日を記念して、2021年の県民の日に栃木にゆかりのあるジオキャッシャーが募りキャッシュを公開しました。

The 15th June is Tochigi Citizens’ Day. Tochigi Prefecture was established on June 15, 1873 with the merger of Tochigi Prefecture and Utsunomiya Prefecture. Celebrating this day, Geocachers loved Tochigi have published caches.

Watarase Yusuichi (Watarase retarding basin) are huge ponds flow in Watarase, Omoi and Uzuma rivers. These ponds occupy 33 square kilometers.
About 100 years ago, Ashio copper mine where upstream Watarase river was emitted copper. Its watershed became environmental pollution. Now, those ponds are given the purification around the watershed.

渡良瀬遊水地（遊水池とも書きます）は、栃木、群馬、埼玉、茨城の４県をまたぐ、３３平方キロメートルの大きな池です。

キャッシュは中央エントランスにあります。ハート形をした人造湖の谷中湖を一望することができます。
