Let's have a picnic at Ed Levin Park. The current coordinates are the rough area -- watch the cache for an update in a couple of weeks.
A Bay Area Geocaching Picnic, complete with Event Cache, on 2 November 02. We'll have the picnic at the Spring Valley Pond The cache coordinates now reflect the location of the picnic tables I intend to hold for us.
UPDATE 10/28/2002:
The only event cache I've been to so far used a potluck that worked pretty well twice, so let's try it in a similar way this time:
If your last name starts with the letters...
A-F, bring a snack (i.e., chips & dip, veggies, fruits, breads)
G-L, bring a salad or side dish (i.e., green, pasta, potato, macaroni, fruit)
M-R, bring a dessert (self explanatory)
S-Z, bring a main dish (i.e., meats for BBQ... burgers, hot dogs, sausages, veggie burgers, chicken)
Also, everyone please bring your own drinks.
There's a large field nearby. Please bring any sorts of lawn games you like - frisbees, soccer balls, badminton, croquet, etc.
The main part of the picnic will be from about 10am until 4pm, although Marty will be there by 9am to hold our tables. Anyone who wants to volunteer to help stake out tables is welcome.
There are two caches in the park and, if there's enough time, we will hide a third for the event.
