MV526, De Havilland Mosquito NF30 of 25 Squadron, Royal Air Force
Whilst on a night patrol over the North Sea on 14th November 1944, the aircraft was misidentified and fired upon by an anti aircraft gun battery near Southwold, in Suffolk.
The crew tried to save their damaged aircraft, but were forced to abandon it near Garboldisham, Norfolk.
Both crew members parachuted to safety.
