We love hiking and trekking but with the Pandemic restrictions of 2020 and 2021 our movements became very restricted and limited to walking and cycling around our neighbourhood. December of 2020 we bought a book Irish Peaks about the top mountains and hiking trails in Ireland. The book was delivered by a local courier. We loved the book and we decided to buy a couple more as Christmas gift to our friends. Our local courier got intrigued by these repeat orders so I told him what it was. He told us of this short but beautiful hike in our local area offering 360 degrees of amazing view.
From the parking waypoint, turn left through the narrow road straight ahead until you reach a large farm shed on the left side. There is a well made track , take it for about 50mts where it veers left (don't take this road to the left) there is a gate here hop over it and proceed uphill, cross second gate still following well made farm track. This leads eventually to a small wooded area cross another gate follow track uphill through wood and when emerging from wood summit cross and trig is visible up to the right, just follow track to top. Fantastic views in all directions from here.
