The views from this location are good and excellent from the top of the monument (which opens somewhat erratically).
The monument was built in honour of General Lord Somerset in 1846 who fought with Wellington in the Napoleonic Wars. More information about the monument can be found at this web site.
This cache is an ammo box which has been well concealed slightly off the usual path. You'll need long trousers in most seasons to get to the cache. When replacing the cache please ensure it is hidden as much as possible.
There are places to park just a few hundred yards from the cache, next to the monument, from which you can admire both the monument and the views.
The hint turns this cache into a difficulty rating of one.
