How Geocaching Works

Don't go to the coordinates posted unless you want to shop for Two-buck Chuck, hardware, or sporting goods. That's just to get you in the general area. The actual cache is about 10 minutes away by car.
This is a sign-only micro cache. The container is a black plastic film canister. Bring your own pen, but don't leave anything except your signature and the date. It's accessible day and night without trespassing or disturbing the local populace. Be sure to leave it hidden as well as you found it.
To find it you must solve two ciphers: a cryptarithm and an incomplete columnar. I suggest you try Cipher Sites first to get instructions on what these are and how to solve them. But if you think this one is going to be easier because there are only two ciphers and one location, you are sadly mistaken. No more Mr. Nice Guy here. These are harder ciphers and my clues aren't giveaways. Solve the cryptarithm to get the numerical key for the actual cache coordinates. Solve the incomplete columnar for instructions on how to find the film canister. Note that this is not a complete columnar like Cipher Sites has. An incomplete columnar is almost the same, but the message does not fill the rectangle. That means some columns are one letter shorter than others, and the rectangle dimensions don't divide evenly into the message length.
