When we were kids in the 70's, we would make the 7 hour journey North to our grandparents' log cabin on M22. The first sibling to declare "I See the Mailbox" would win bragging rights for that trip. Now part of the Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore, the cabin is gone but our roots have become stronger here throughout the decades. This is my first hide and first in my series, "I See the Mailbox."
This cache is along the beatiful Betsie Valley Trail. This is not a P&G so enjoy the scenery, the turtles in the bogs, the fresh air and a seat on a bench to relax and enjoy the slow pace of the day! Bug spray and take careful steps to find this hide!
You may need a tool of the trade to retrieve log. Bring a pen.Replace so the muggles won't see it!
