Geocache Description:

Born and raised in the South East of South Australia, I have many memories of the places that have had significance in my life. In January 2004 I moved to Mount Barker in search of new opportunities. "Finding my way home" is a series of geocaches that can be found between Mount Barker and Mount Gambier following the path I still travel to visit my family.

It is now 2021, many people, including myself, have reassessed their lives. After a lot of deliberating, I decided it was time to Find My Way Home. In April, I resigned from my job, sold my home and moved back to the family farm to help out and to spend time with my mum and take care of her as she gets older.

I have many memories and made beautiful lifetime friends who have supported me in the 17 years I have been away. I will continue to travel back and forth to Mt Barker and Adelaide to visit them and my daughter.

The cache is located near the paddock we have always called the 7 mile as it is 7 miles from Beachport. The 10 kms sign is nearby. At the time of placing the cache new born lambs can be seen frollicking in the paddock.

I hope you have enjoyed my series 😀
