This cache is located off a trail that parallels the shoreline. No need to bushwack as it is located off of the Lakeshore Trail. It is a traditional cache containing a few trade items. As the cache name implies, this area has received some of the forces from Lake Ontario. Be sure to take in the view from the trail and note the size of some of the trees. The cache has been placed according to the guidelines as stated by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (serial #3). An entrance fee may be required from May- October.
Parking is available in the Bluff Picnic area. Follow the paved trail from the picnic area to Camping Areas Chipmonk and Deer. The Lakeshore Trail is off Deer Loop.
Cell service may be limited or unavailable so a traditional GPS unit is recommended.
