Here you will find a 1-mile Riverwalk and park located along the West Branch of the Susquehanna River. As county residents stroll along here some may remember the St. Patricks Day flood of 1936 – an unforgettable day in Clearfield County history. Huge piles of snow and heavy rains caused the streets of Clearfield to flood. Do you know what to do if you encounter flood waters on the roadway? Turn Around Don’t Drown! It is never safe to drive or walk into flood waters. In fact, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports that over half of all flood-related drownings occur when a vehicle is driven into hazardous flood water.
