Weinweg Gols

Dieser Multi-Cache liegt entlang des Lehrpfads "WeinWegGols". Um ihn zu lösen, musst du den gesamten Weg abwandern oder mit dem Fahrrad abfahren. Es handelt sich um eine wunderschöne und sehr lehrreiche Wanderung mit einer Gesamtlänge von 9,8 km. Mehr Details findest du auf der Webseite www.weinweggols.at

Wichtige Hinweise
  • Um diesen Multi-Cache abwechslungsreich zu gestalten, wurden ein paar der Hinweise versteckt. Plane zusätzlich zur Wegzeit etwas Zeit zum Suchen ein. Wer nicht bereit ist, diese Zeit zu investieren, sollte diesen Geocache bleiben lassen. Sollte einer der zu suchenden Hinweise (S,W,E,I) nicht zu finden sein, kannst du diesen über die Prüfsumme errechnen (siehe Hinweise).
  • Die Berechnungsformel für das Versteck dieses Multi-Caches befindet sich im Geocache Gols IV, der direkt am Weg liegt und somit leicht mitgemacht werden kann.
  • Für die Stationen 4 und 5 konnte kein Wegpunkt erstellt werden, da sich ein Geocache in unmittelbarer Nähe befindet (siehe Richtlinien von geocaching.com). Halte dich am besten genau an die Infos in dieser Beschreibung.
Station 1 - Hinweis O
Wie viele Hektar Weinbaufläche hatte Gols im 18. Jahrhundert. Die Quersumme der Fläche (in Hektar) ist O.

Station 2 - Hinweis N
Wie die Straßenbezeichnung schon verrät, befindest du dich am Fuße des Salzbergs. Halte kurz inne und schwenke deinen Blick Richtung Nordosten auf die Riede Salzberg. Hoch oben thront das neue Gebäude des Weinguts Vinum Pannonia des Winzers Allacher. Wie viele hohe Fenster befinden sich in der Holzfassade rechts vom Schriftzug des Weinguts? Die Anzahl der Fenster ist N.

Station 3 - Hinweis G
Wie nennt man den durch Los auf die einzelnen Bauern verteilten Besitz noch? Die Anzahl der Buchstaben des gesuchten Wortes ist G.

Station 4 - Die Berechnungsformel
Wenn du die Wanderung fortsetzt, gelangst du zu einer Aussichtsplattform. Hier liegt auch der Geocache Gols IV. In dessen kniffliger Schatzkiste befindet sich die Berechnungsformel für das Finale dieses Multi-Caches, die du noch brauchen wirst. Also los, hol sie dir!

Station 5 - Hinweis S
Wenn du auf der Aussichtsplattform stehst und Richtung SSO blickst, siehst du in etwa 10 Meter Entfernung einen hölzernen "Wächter". Geh hinüber, er wird dir den Hinweis für S preisgeben.

Station 6 - Hinweis W
Studiere die Schautafel und finde den Hinweis für W.

Station 7 - Hinweis E
Finde den Hinweis für E.

Station 8 - Hinweis I
Mach eine Pause, setz dich hin und finde den Hinweis für I.

Station 9 - Hinweis L
Um wieviel Grad unterscheiden sich die Qualitätsstufen der Trockenbeerenauslese und der Beerenauslese auf der Klosterneuburger Mostwaage (°KMW)? Die errechnete Zahl (=Differenz) ist L.

Station 10 - Der Geocache
Wenn du alles richtig gemacht hast, bist du jetzt im Besitz von 8 Zahlen und einer Berechnungsformel. Setze die Zahlen gemäß den Buchstaben in die Formel ein und du erhältst die Koordinaten für das Versteck des Geocaches.

Wenn du dich beim Versteck befindest, setz dich am besten verkehrt rum hin (Blick Richtung Osten) und greif mit der rechten Hand nach hinten und unten zum Geocache. Verstecke den Geocache bitte wieder genau so, wie du ihn vorgefunden hast.

Ach ja, ein hoher Gehalt an Blutalkohol könnte die Suchzeit deutlich verlängern. Dieser Geocache sollte daher am besten noch vor der Weinverkostung absolviert werden :-)

Hiking trail "WeinWegGols"

This geocache is situated along the hiking trail "WeinWegGols". To complete the geocache you need to hike or ride the complete trail which has a length of 9,8 km. Further details about the trail can be found on the website www.weinweggols.at

Important information
  • At some stages it's required to read and understand the content of presentation boards which are written in German language! Nontheless I will offer an English version of the listing as a major part of the geocache consists of searching for hints. I will indicate where German is required.
  • To design this geocache more diversivied, some of the hints have been hidden. Plan some extra time for searching activity. If you don't like this kind of geocache, better leave this one. If one of the hints (S,W,E,I) cannot be found, you can use the checksum to calculate it (see hints).
  • The calculation formula for the hideout can be found in the geocache Gols IV, which is situated along the trail and needs to be done in order to solve this geocache.
  • There is no waypoint for the stages 4 and 5 as there is a geocache nearby (see geocaching.com guidelines). Please stick to the information in this listing.
Stage 1 - Hint O (GERMAN required!)
How many hectares were cultivated with vinegrapes back in the 18th century? The cross sum of the number is O.

Stage 2 - Hint N
The name of the street informs you that you are submontane of the Salzberg. Hold in and look northeast towards the Salzberg. High above the hill you can see the new building of the winery Vinum Pannonia. How many high windows can you see on its front to the right of the winemaker's name? The number is N.

Stage 3 - Hint G (GERMAN required!)
How else is the property called which was raffled off to farmers back then? The number of letters of the (German!) word is G.

Stage 4 - Calculation Formula
If you continue your hike you will reach a viewing platform. Here you can find the geocache Gols IV. Its tricky treasure chest holds the calculation formula which you will need to calculate the hideout coordinates for this geocache. So go and get it!

Stage 5 - Hint S
If you stand on the viewing platform and look towards south-southwest, in some 10 meters distance you can find a wooden "guard". It keeps the secret for the hint S. Walk over and find it!

Stage 6 - Hint W
Study the presentation board carefully and find the hint for W.

Stage 7 - Hint E
Find the hint for E.

Stage 8 - Hint I
Have a break, sit down and find the hint for I.

Stage 9 - Hint L
How many degrees is the difference between the quality levels of the "Trockenbeerenauslese" and the "Beerenauslese" on the Klosterneuburger Mostwaage (°KMW)? The number (=margin) is L.

Station 10 - The Hideout
If you did everything correctly, you should have 8 numbers and a calculation formula. Insert the numbers in the formula according to the letters and get the coordinates of the hideout.

If you are at the hideout, sit down backwards (view towards east) and grab with your right hand back and downwards to the geocache. Please place it exactly as you found it.

As the search time might increase with the concentration of your blood alcohol, this geocache is better done before the wine tasting :-)
