Plungės lobiai: Se­no­sios žy­dų ka­pinės (7) Traditional Cache

[LT]  „Plungės lobiai“ – geolobiavimo turas Plungėje, apjungiantis 8 miesto kultūros paveldo ir istorinės atminties vietas. Dvi geolobių vietos turi savo multiturus, skirtus UNESCO paveldui – kryždirbystei.
Suradę visus 8 "Plungės lobiai" lobiukus, užsirašę slaptavietėse parašytus kodus ir pateikę juos Plungės r. sav. v. bibliotekoje (Parko g. 7), Vaikų bibliotekoje (Laisvės al. 19) arba turizmo informacijos centre (Dariaus ir Girėno g. 27), galite pasiimti dovanėlę – CITO geokeliauninką (trackable) ir kryždirbystės turui skirtą medinę geomonetą.

[EN] "Plungė's Treasures" is a gecaching tour in Plungė, combining 8 places of the city's cultural heritage and historical memories. The two geolocation sites have their own multiturs, which are dedicated to the UNESCO heritage - cross-stitching.
Once you have found all 8 geocaches "Plungės lobiai", as well as,  have taken and written down the codes which have been found in the hiding places, you are ready to presented them in several places in order to receive the price which is a trackable CITO tag and a wooden geocoin dedicated for the cross-stitch tour. Those places are:  Plunge Public Library (Parko str. 7), Children's Library (Laisvės al. 19) or Tourism Information Center (Dariaus ir Girėno str. 27).

[LT] Senosios Plungės žydų kapinės

Centrinėje miesto dalyje, Minijos gatvėje, yra buvusios žydų kapinės. Jas dabar mena tik antkapiniai paminklai.
Kapinės išskirtinės tuo, kad ant jų 1974–1975 m. buvo pa­sta­ty­ta Plun­gės 4-oji vi­du­ri­nė mo­kyk­la (da­bar – Se­na­mies­čio mo­kyk­la). Tuos įvykius yra aprašęs pas­ku­ti­niuo­ju Plun­gės žy­du va­din­tas Ja­ko­vas Bun­ka (1923–2014), rū­pi­nę­sis žy­dų at­min­ties įam­ži­ni­mu. Tuo­met Plun­gė­je negausiai gy­ve­nę žy­dai pro­tes­ta­vo prieš to­kį dras­tiš­ką vie­tos val­džios spren­di­mą, bet jo pa­keis­ti ne­ga­lė­jo. Mirusiųjų artimiesiems prieš statybas buvo pranešta, kad gali išsikasti giminaičių palaikus ir perlaidoti kitur, bet atsirado tik 4 šeimos, kurios perlaidojo artimuosius. Kiti ant­ka­pi­niai pa­min­klai bu­vo iš­vež­ti į ne­to­li Plun­gės esan­čius Kau­šė­nus, į 1941-ai­siais vyk­dy­tų ma­si­nių žy­dų žu­dy­nių vie­tą.
Tik J. Bun­kos pa­stan­go­mis pa­min­klai bu­vo su­grą­žin­ti į se­nų­jų ka­pi­nių ne­už­sta­ty­tą pa­kraš­tį. Da­bar 91 ant­ka­pi­nis pa­min­klas pa­gar­biai su­sta­ty­ti į ke­tu­rias ei­les ša­lia mo­kyk­los esan­čia­me skve­re­ly­je.

[EN] The old cemetery of Jews in Plungė

The cemetery is unique because in the Soviet era (1974-1975) a high school was built on it. These events are written by Jakovas Bunka (1923-2014) and he also was called the last Jew of Plungė. He cared for the memory perpetuation of Jews. Back then the very little of Jews that were living in Plungė protested against this drastic government decision but square they couldn’t change anything about it. Before construction to the relatives of the dead it was said, that they can dig up their relatives remains and bury them elsewhere, but there were only 4 families that buried the relatives in Vilnius, they also took out the monumental stones. Other tombstones were taken to Kaušėnai near Plungė, where at 1941 there was a carried out massive massacre of Jews.
Only by J.Bunkos efforts the monuments were retrieved to the undeveloped edges of the old cemetery. Now 91 tombstones are placed respectfully in 4 lines in a square near a school.
