Plungės lobiai: Telšių gatvės koplytėlė (8) Traditional Geocache

[LT]  „Plungės lobiai“ – geolobiavimo turas Plungėje, apjungiantis 8 miesto kultūros paveldo ir istorinės atminties vietas. Dvi geolobių vietos turi savo multiturus, skirtus UNESCO paveldui – kryždirbystei.
Suradę visus 8 "Plungės lobiai" lobiukus, užsirašę slaptavietėse parašytus kodus ir pateikę juos Plungės r. sav. v. bibliotekoje (Parko g. 7), Vaikų bibliotekoje (Laisvės al. 19) arba turizmo informacijos centre (Dariaus ir Girėno g. 27), galite pasiimti dovanėlę – CITO geokeliauninką (trackable) ir kryždirbystės turui skirtą medinę geomonetą.

[EN] "Plungė's Treasures" is a gecaching tour in Plungė, combining 8 places of the city's cultural heritage and historical memories. The two geolocation sites have their own multiturs, which are dedicated to the UNESCO heritage - cross-stitching.
Once you have found all 8 geocaches "Plungės lobiai", as well as,  have taken and written down the codes which have been found in the hiding places, you are ready to presented them in several places in order to receive the price which is a trackable CITO tag and a wooden geocoin dedicated for the cross-stitch tour. Those places are:  Plunge Public Library (Parko str. 7), Children's Library (Laisvės al. 19) or Tourism Information Center (Dariaus ir Girėno str. 27).

[LT] Telšių ir Aušros gatvių sankirtos koplytėlė

Prie Telšių vieškelio, dabartinėje Telšių ir Aušros gatvių sankirtoje, jau XIX a. buvo pastatyta medinė koplytėlė su Švč. Mergelės Marijos skulptūrėle. Esą čia buvęs ir kryžius. Plungiškiai žinojo, kad šioje vietoje buvo baudžiami caro valdžiai prasikaltę žmonės, stovėjo 1863 m. sukilimo dalyvių kartuvės. 
Yra išlikusių žinių, kad sovietmečiu medinė koplytėlė buvo perkelta į Senąsias kapines. 
Daugiau nei trisdešimt metų koplytėlės vieta prie Telšių gatvės buvo tuščia. Ją atstatė, tik jau mūrinę, gydytojas Algirdas Mikulskis. 1990 m. koplytėlė buvo iškilmingai pašventinta, prie jos daug metų gegužės mėnesį buvo meldžiamasi ir giedamos giesmės Mergelei Marijai.

[EN] Chapel at the intersection of Telšiai and Aušra streets

Next to the public road of Telšiai, in the current intersection of Telšiai and Aušra streets, in the 19th century a wooden chapel with a sculpture of Saint Virgin Mary had already been built, nearby it is thought was a cross too. Civilians of Plungė knew that in this place people that disobeyed the rules of tsar were punished.  In 1863 the bitters of the rebels stood here.
There is some information left that in the Soviet era the wooden chapel was transferred to the old cemetery. More than 30 years the chapels place next to Telšiai road was empty. It was restored, however only brick, by doctor Algirdas Mikulskisin 1990 and the chapel was ceremonially blessed, as well as, from that time each May at the chapel were prayed and sung to the Virgin Mary.
