The US Navy was established October 13, 1775 as a way to defend against the British Navy. The first mission consisted of just two armed boats and a crew of 80 men. Much like the Army and Marines, the Continental Navy was disbanded for a short period of time after the revolutionary war before re-emerging as the modern day Navy. For the Navy, this was due to a large ammount of American Sailors being captured and held captive by Barbary pirates of North Africa. One of the modern Navy's original warships, the USS Constitution, is still floating to this day in Boston Harbor.
The cache is a small jar hidden off the trail. Takes a bit of bushwacking to get up to the hide.
Congrats to DugFresh and Type2Bill for FTF!!
