This park was dedicated to William Van Vleck Lidgerwood and presented to the citizens of Morristown November 26th, 1930. The near by plaque states " TO BE USED FOREVER AS A PUBLIC PARK FOR THE RECREATION OF THIER FELLOW CITIZENS AND FOR THE GENERTIONS TO FOLLOW"
