Welcome to Flight School!


The cache is NOT at the posted coordinates, you must solve the puzzle below! You have just arrived at flight school and are about to learn about the world of Aviation! Ready to get your pilot’s certificate? (And by that I mean your yellow smiley.) OK! Lets start! First off, aviation and geocaching have one main thing in common: there are a lot of acronyms. Here is a brief list of some aviation acronyms and their meaning: ATC: Air Traffic Control (tower), GPS: all geocachers should know what this is! FAA: Federal Aviation Administration, VOR: Very high frequency Omni-directional Range (this navigational system is becoming obsolete), GA: General Aviation aircraft.Those are the most common acronyms I will be using. Secondly, you must be familiar with the Aviation alphabet using code words, such as Alpha, Bravo, Charlie… Here are them all:
