Leusden was in 1999 het groene hart van Nederland. Dat is ook goed te zien als je op zoek gaat naar deze cache. Deze MultiCache kan met eenvoudige berekeningen gevonden worden maar pas op! Secuur zijn is absoluut noodzakelijk, een kleine rekenfout kan weleens tot vreemde plekken leiden.

Leusden was in 1999 the green hart from The Netherlands. You can see it if you do this cache-hunt. This MultiCache simply could by found by doing some simple calculations but be carefully! Be accurate is seriously necessary, failing a little should you bring to strange places.

Lighteningpoles

Elke lantaarnpaal in Leusden is voorzien van twee nummers. Om deze cache te vinden heb je beide nummers van 20 lantaarnpalen nodig. Met behulp van het nummer van de laatste paal kun je de coördinaten van de stash bepalen.

Every lighteningpole in Leusden do have two numbers. To find this cache you’ll need both numbers of 20 lighteningpoles. With the last one you’ll could calculate the location of the stash.

Use a bike or walk

Alle lantaarnpalen zijn met de fiets te bereiken. Voor de stash zelf loop je door een stukje Leusdens natuur van ca 200 meter. Het hele parcours is in rechte lijnen gemeten ongeveer 4 km, vandaar dat deze cache ideaal is om op de fiets te doen. Er zijn extra veiligheden ingebouwd zodat je in staat bent de juiste lantaarnpaal te vinden.

All lighteningpole’s are reachable by bike. For reaching the stash it’s self you’re walking about 200 meter through a little piece of nature in Leusden. The whole parcours in straight lines is about 4 km, so you can do this cache by bike. There are controls build in so it’s possible finding the correct lightening pole.

1. Middels de Even/Odd kolom kun je bepalen of het paalnummer even of oneven is. 2. De afstand naar het volgende punt ligt om en nabij de 200 meter. (excl. het laatste punt). 3. In de kolom Sum is voor een aantal palen de optelling van de 6 cijfers weergegeven.

1. Into the colum Even/Odd you can see the number of the pole should be even or odd, 2. To reach the next point you have always to move about 200 meters. (excl. the latest point). 3. Into the column Sum is an addition of the individual numbers for some poles.

Hoe te rekenen

How to calculate

Vertrouw verder op je secuurheid in rekenen en je GPS. Bepaal het volgende punt altijd met behulp van het voorgaande punt en niet via het display van je GPS. Zo reken je jezelf door de route heen.

Believe in your accurate calculations and your GPS receiver. Calculate the next point only by using the current calculated point. Do not use the GPSdisplay. The procedure below helps you calculating through the route.

Vul het bovenste en het onderste nummer van het witte etiket (samen 6 cijfers) van de lantaarnpaal achter elkaar in op het formulier in de 2 kolommen die zijn aangeduid met ‘Light#’

Write down the both numbers (6 numbers) of the white sticker on the lighteningpole on the given form into the two colums described with Light#.

Verwijder nu leestekens komma’s punten uit de coördinaat waarden.

Release the dot’s comma’s and the degrees symbols from the coordinate value.

Tel nu bij het North coördinaat de waarde van ‘Light#’ op, en trek er vervolgens de waarde van North Offset van af.

Add the North coördinate with the value of Light#, and after that substract the value of North Offset.

Schrijf het resultaat als volgende North Coördinaat op het formulier.
Doe hetzelfde voor de East Coördinaat.

Write down the calculated North Coördinate on the form below the previous North Coördinate. Do the same calculation at the East Coördinate.

Stel je GPS in en ga naar het volgende punt.

Enter the calculated coördinates into the GPS and go to the next waypoint.

Herhaal vanaf stap 2 totdat je alle punten hebt gehad. Je bent dan bij de stash.

Repeat from point 2 until you’ve bin nearby the Stash.

Make an offset for 9 meter, in the direction of 322 degrees.
