Welcome to the Strange Fish series. This commemorates the odd, little loved fish species of Wisconsin. Off the dock down below I caught three different species of redhorse in 15 minutes. Redhorse are sucker like fish so called because of their red fins and, frankly, rather horse like faces. Fun to catch and an indicator of excellent water quality they are unfortunately difficult to eat due to many small bones. As Strange Fish #3 recognized the Silver Redhorse today's will give the nod to the Golden Redhorse (I caught both here as well as the Shorthead redhorse). This cache is hidden in an obvious beacon. A bit of stealth is in order...just pretend you are taking a selfie! Replace carefully please. Space for small swag should be present.
