Hello and Welcome to Saysutshun! This KatimaCache was placed on the weekend the Katimavik participants went to Saysutshun and did a tour with David Bodaly, stayed the night, and explored the island for the 7 raccoons with white fur! The cache is hidden at a great spot to sit and have a rest break, to enjoy the sunshine and view. Inside, there is Katimavik merch, and info on the island and where to look for, thanks to David Bodaly and Snuneymuxw people. You'll learn a bit of that with a letter in the cache, please to take a moment to read the letter, its a good read : )
You may be asking what Katimavik is? Well, Katimavik is a youth program with ages 17-25, and with 11 youth, they go around Canadian communities, and help out non-profit organizations. We have houses in British Columbia, Ontario, Alberta, Nova Scotia, and many more! With us moving around, the next group coming to Nanaimo will receive instructions and Cache maintenance, so it really means alot when there is a DNF.
