This is a cache is SGL 108 near Altoona, PA. This cache requires at least a 2 mile hike (one way). This cache highlights an "Evergreen Forest" (see GC5KJDF by 74VWbusFamily). This is one of my favorite SGL hikes. Start by walking down the SGL road, and about 0.3 miles in, at the "fork" in the road, go left into the woods and to a beautiful trail. Soon you'll find a bridge that crosses a peaceful stream. Keep on this trail that passes through a beautiful Evergreen Forest, groves of rhododendron and pine trees. Wow! The trail is mainly flat, and easy to follow but has some rocky spots and a few downed trees you'll have to walk over, mainly at the end (closest to GZ). At GZ, you'll find another very peaceful spot. The cache is hidden just across another "bridge", among some pines. After finding the cache (hopefully) and taking a nice break, you can either go back the way you came, or keep on the trail to a grassy trail (about a mile long) that leads you to the SGL road you started on. Walk the road back about 3 miles to the start, making a 6.5 or so mile loop hike. The cache is a small container, with an unactivated TB inside for FTF.
