都道府県魅力度ランキング2020最下位の栃木県ですが、ジオキャッシングではとても魅力的な県です。旧栃木県と宇都宮県が合併し栃木県が誕生した6月15日を記念して、2021年の県民の日に栃木にゆかりのあるジオキャッシャーが募りキャッシュを公開しました。

The 15th June is Tochigi Citizens’ Day. Tochigi Prefecture was established on June 15, 1873 with the merger of Tochigi Prefecture and Utsunomiya Prefecture. Celebrating this day, Geocachers loved Tochigi have published caches.

2005年に発見されたナガレコウホネは、初夏から夏の清流に咲くヤマブキ色の小さな花が可愛らしいスイレン科の多年性水生植物で、栃木県内数ヶ所のみに群生する絶滅危惧II類の水草です

Nagare kohone, discovered in 2005, is a perennial aquatic plant of the water lily family with lovely small orange flowers that bloom in clear streams from early summer to summer, and is an endangered class II water plant that grows in colonies only in a few places in Tochigi Prefecture.
