Mirtoviški potok
Biser Kolpske doline
Dolina reke Kolpe skriva mnogo naravnih lepot.

Pearl of the Kolpa Valley
The Kolpa Valley hides many natural beauties. The real pearl among them is Mirtoviški Creek.
It is located under Krempa, which is 942 meters high. It originates in an idyllic location in the midst of a hilly forest. The spring is surrounded by moss-covered rocks and is very picturesque. At the end of the spring, there is a canyon with a cave.

Mirtoviški Creek is known for its endless wealth of animal and plant life. Rare and endangered species, which have long since disappeared elsewhere, are commonplace along the creek. Eagles fly through the valley and deer live above the creek. On the steep cliffs of Borovška Gora, you can see chamois and other large forest animals.
The climate conditions allow for a unique symbiosis of normal vegetation with Mediterranean elements.
In the past, the creek ran mills and sawmills, but today at the end there is a small hydroelectric power plant.

The tributary of Mirtoviški Creek is Modri Poh, which is rich in streams, pools and small waterfalls. You can see crayfish in it.
Park your car at the recommended parking lot and follow the path along the creek to the junction, which you will find between the waypoints (waypoint Razpotje). Nearby, you will find the Modri Poh treasure, then continue on the right path that leads to the end of the creek and over the moss-covered rocks to the cache. If you climb even higher, you can also see the cave, which we have also marked on the map (waypoint Jama).
Save the cache on your device before visiting, as there is no signal at the location.
