Geocache Description:

This cache is named for Jim "Mudcat" Grant, pitcher for the 1965 American League champion Minnesota Twins, who passed away recently.  As Little Leaguers, the '65 Twins were our heroes and several of them, including Mudcat, put on a baseball clinic at the Highland ballfields that year.  Back in those days it was a rare event to see professional athletes close up and the fact that the Twins went to the World Series that year made those players even more special.  Mudcat won 21 games during the season, and two more in the Series, helping his own cause with a 3-run home run in Game 6.  Thanks for some great baseball memories Jim Grant!

Camouflaged container with room for small swag and trackables.  River bluff terrain - ground zero will be slippery when wet.  Please rehide carefully to keep it safe from muggles using the nearby trails.  Registered with St. Paul Parks & Rec Department.
