This collection of caches has nothing to do with the Church Micro series in the UK. Given that the Australian 2016 census indicates that No Religion and Jedi Knight are the fastest increasing classifications of the optional religion question "What is the person's religion?" it is not surprising that there is surfeit of empty churches that have been repurposed.
Some history
The St Mary of Bethany Anglican Church at Goyder opened in 1898. Services were held on a regular basis until its closure was announced in 2019. The Hundred of Goyder was declared in 1862 but little land surveyed until September 1879 and the township of Goyder never even began to develop partly because it was only five kms to Whitwarta.
This Anglican Church is now a private residence.
