These sort of cairns are common place in communities and along roadways.  But  how often do we actually stop to read them?  Please take some time to read this biographical cairn about Sidney Smith; a native of beautiful Port Hood who went westerly and achieved excellence in education, law, and politics.  

Read the cairn to determine the values of ABC DEF.  Once complete go on to locate the cache placement.

B:  Value of the month of his death. 

C:  The number in the last year he was Dean of Dalhousie Law School.

F:  Number of years he was a lecturer at Osgoode Hall.
